In October we celebrated Ellie West who has completed an amazing 10 years of service at Performance in People (PiP).

For all long-serving members of staff, PiP likes to show their appreciation and give a gift to say “thank you” for their hard work and loyalty to the company. PiP presented Ellie with a prestigious engraved trophy, a bottle of champagne, a bunch of flowers (in this case we bought Ellie a special cactus pot as she is a lover of a desk plant!) and a £50 voucher of her choice.

Ellie's History at PiP

Ellie joined PiP on 1st October 2012 as a Visual Programme Quality Controller, watching, scoring, and editing mystery shops. She began splitting her time between QCing and being a Research Assistant in 2016, later stepping into the role full-time just a few months later. When the Insights Team was formed, in 2019, Ellie became an Insights Coordinator. Since then, she’s been creating fantastic bespoke reporting, video and telephone compilation films, pilot packs and is also the ‘go-to’ person for pulling together benchmarking data across our automotive and retail clients. During her time at PiP, Ellie has been able to complete an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Business Administration along with courses in Excel and PowerPoint.

“I can honestly say, it doesn’t feel like it’s been 10 years! Performance in People is definitely one of the best places I have worked – I’ve been able to develop and broaden my skill set, grow as a person and make some great friends along the way.”

PiP now has 15 members of staff within the company who have served 10 years or more!

How impressive is that?! The question is, how do PiP manage to retain staff? We recognise that happy people equal a happy workplace and is continually investing in new ways to make it an enjoyable place to work; over recent years PiP has been awarded Best Companies and appeared in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Small Companies to Work For. A few of the benefits available to staff include complimentary fresh fruit, subsidised gym membership, flexible working, a recommend-a-friend scheme, regular bonuses, company-wide social events, yoga, relaxation classes and so much more!
