Last Friday 14th June, we welcomed 5 lucky video mystery shoppers to come over to the sunny Isle of Wight for an open day at Performance in People (PiP) HQ.

PiP’s very first open day was a huge success.

There are 1000’s of mystery shoppers based all over the UK, so an open day at our offices was the perfect way of meeting face-to-face some of the great people completing our mystery shopping work.

HQ Tour

There was a tour of the HQ in Ryde, where staff were super excited to meet some of the mystery shoppers they regularly communicate with – and the Quality Controllers who watch all their video recorded mystery shop visits! Is it possible to feel a little bit star struck? Because we definitely did…

Quality Circles & Continuous Improvement

As well as meeting the team and ‘putting faces to names’, PiP also hosted some hugely beneficial quality circle and brainstorming sessions. The opportunity to discuss in detail how PiP can continuously improve their programmes and support their mystery shoppers was invaluable. There were some exciting and interesting ideas shared, and the opportunity for the mystery shoppers to meet each other and share best practices and top tips etc.

Business Review

PiP’s Sales & Marketing Director, Lloyd Rae, shared a high-level business review of the company, including performance over the past 12 months, business developments, and big plans and goals for the future.

Our mystery shoppers commented;

“I have been a mystery shopper for over 20 years and have never felt valued until I worked for PiP. They really care about their assessors.”

“9 out of 10 Mystery Shoppers prefer PiP. What a fab day it was to be there on the first PiP Assessor open day. A warm welcome from the whole team made for a great day. Meeting the different programme teams, telephone, video, marketing... Putting faces to the names and voices that we talk to and email when we need help and seeing how the programmes fit together, really helped us to understand where we mystery shoppers fit into the puzzle. Being able to share our feedback on the systems, briefs and processes was great and knowing that we're being listened to and understood. Seeing in detail how our work out in the field is viewed, quality checked and collated to produce meaningful data and insights to be fed back to the clients, was particularly useful in understanding why key stages of briefs are so necessary. Finally receiving an overview, "state of the union", on PIP's progress to date and the amazing plans for the future was a privilege. Thanks for a wonderful day. It's clear to see why 9 out of 10 Mystery Shoppers prefer PiP!”

It was a hugely successful day for everyone, and we hope to run more events like this in the future!
