For all long-serving members of staff, Performance in People (PiP) likes to show their appreciation and give a gift to say “thank you” for their hard work and loyalty to the company. PiP award a prestigious engraved trophy, a bottle of champagne, and a £50 voucher of their choice.

In August there were 3 members of staff who joined the 10-year service club! Scott, Tash and Michelle have worked their way up through the business and have achieved great things in their 10 years;

Scott Lawson

Scott joined PiP on 13th August 2013 as a Visual Programme Quality Controller, watching, scoring, and editing mystery shops.

Scott progressed to become a Research Coordinator in March 2015 which eventually evolved to becoming Research Analyst responsible for creating bespoke end-of-wave reporting, client benchmarking and industry research reporting looking at what some of the world’s biggest brands do to prioritise the customer experience.

Promoted to Account Director in June 2019, Scott now manages key client accounts and is responsible for ensuring the programmes we deliver meet client objectives, working closely with the client and internal operational teams to ensure a streamless relationship.

“During my 10 years at PiP I’ve been able to experience a number of roles which have all contributed to the Account Director role which I do today. Within my current role, I’ve been lucky enough to work with some amazing contacts across my client base within some of the most incredible brands. I think it’s rare to find a company where it feels like everybody is pulling in the same direction and it really does make the job easier having great people around you day in and day out. The fact we have multiple people achieving their 10-year service trophies at the same time really is a testament to the great culture within the business!”

Natasha Whitehurst

Natasha joined PiP on 27th August 2013 as an Allocations Administrator. Within 6 months Tash was promoted to a Visual Programme Coordinator, and then VMS Team Leader a further 6 months later. Tash heads up one of three Video Mystery Shopping Teams at PIP, ensuring the smooth operation of multiple client programmes, whilst looking after a sizable team of Coordinators and Quality Controllers. During her time at PiP, Tash has been able to complete an NVQ Level 4 qualification in Management.

“I have enjoyed my 10 years at PIP! Coming from a history of working in customer service, it has been great to be a part of a company that helps to improve it! Performance in People has been a supportive company to work for and have always had a vision for the future. Everyone is so kind and friendly here - I’ve been able to make some good friends during my time! I look forward to seeing what the future holds!’

Michelle Lewis

Michelle joined PiP in our Telephone Mystery Shop team as a Quality Controller in Aug 2013. She quickly progressed to a Programme Co-ordinator within the team in May 2014. In May 2016, Michelle successfully obtained the role of Report-Only Mystery Shopping Team Leader, and since then her team has evolved to include the management of Email, Audits and Social Media mystery shopping – now named the ‘Special Programmes Team’.

“It’s been a great 10 years at PiP, I have made some great friends and even gained a husband from working here! I have been given the opportunity to change products and develop new ones entirely, which is amazing to have that confidence and trust from senior management in my abilities. I enjoy working at PiP and hope to continue to contribute to its success in the future.”
